Anthony Schore, M.D.
Gastroenterologist
Following a career in advertising, Anthony became a doctor, graduated from SUNY-Downstate, and then did his internal medicine residency at Tufts/New England Medical Center. After completing his fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Anthony joined Naugatuck Valley Gastroenterology Consultants in 2009. He is on the medical staff at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury Hospital, and Waterbury Surgery Center. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Gastroenterology.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Schore's on and off for over a decade. I cannot say enough positive things about him! He is a wonderful, knowledgeable, no BS doc with compassion and confidence. Love his sense of humor and honesty. If you need a pat-your-hand, wishy-washy doc then go elsewhere. If you want a really good gastro doctor with a caring staff, go to Dr. Schore!
The office personnel at Dr Schore is impeccable Jamie is so pleasant a gem to talk to.....Mary is very personable they all are just great people ....a pleasure to go to the office.
I'm not sure why some of the previous reviews refer to Dr. Schore as not having any bedside manner. I'm a young woman and went in because I was fearful of why I was having so much pain. He gave me enough time to explain my symptoms and my concerns, he asked great questions, and he was very knowledgeable. I was able to schedule the exam that I needed within just a few days and met with him again before the procedure. He explained everything that was going to happen and afterwards came to check on me and gave me my results. I found him to have a great sense of humor, and he seemed genuinely concerned for my well being. I would definitely recommend.
I called Doctor Schore's office last Monday, explained what was going on to the nurse, she told me she would talk over with doctor. Within an hour after I called Doctor Schore himself called me back, we talked about my issue, he immediately told me going to have my Assistant set you up for bloodwork and a CT Scan. His Assistant called me right back, she found the closest place to me where I could have my blood work done that day, had me set up with a CT Scan for the next day. After my CT Scan I was told my the tech that Doctor Schore would get the scan results back in 24 to 48 hours, I think it was less than 8 hours I received a all from Doctor Schore to go over my results. He explained to me his concerns and told me he would like to see me in a couple of weeks. Next next morning I received a call from his office to set up my appointment...

Dr. Schore has been my Gastroenterologist for over 5 years and I have found him to always be professional, thorough and knowledgeable. On top of that he has an excellent sense of humor. His bedside manner is tops. Highly recommended.
