Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County (GAFC) is the premier local GI brand caring for the Bridgeport, Fairfield, Trumbull and surrounding communities. Founded in 1970, GAFC has been a leader in the field of Gastroenterology bringing advanced GI care, research and procedures to patients throughout the region.
The GAFC physicians oversee a safe, comfortable and convenient Ambulatory Surgical Center adjacent to their Fairfield office. This allows patients easy access to GI procedures without the congestion of the local hospitals. If patients do require in-hospital care, GAFC physicians admit patients to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
In 2022 GAFC partnered with Connecticut GI (powered by GI Alliance). The partnership enhanced both practices and has resulted in being recognized as one of the Top GI Practices in the Country!

Dr Stupak is just wonderful. He is understanding and very through. His office is a trip for me but I would not change over to a Dr that is closer to me. His office staff and nurse is excellent. I know I am in good hands with Dr Stupak.

Most amazing experience, Dr. Stupak and staff actually listen and are genuine. I’ve been chronically ill for over a year and we were able to get to the bottom of it swiftly. Very kind and professional. They actually care about their patients and want to be proactive and thorough.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stupak’s since I was around 18 years old, so I have been seeing him for going on 14 years. He is without a doubt the best doctor in the world. I’ve had 3 colonoscopy’s and 2 endoscopy’s over that period of time.
