Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County (GAFC) is the premier local GI brand caring for the Bridgeport, Fairfield, Trumbull and surrounding communities. Founded in 1970, GAFC has been a leader in the field of Gastroenterology bringing advanced GI care, research and procedures to patients throughout the region.
The GAFC physicians oversee a safe, comfortable and convenient Ambulatory Surgical Center adjacent to their Fairfield office. This allows patients easy access to GI procedures without the congestion of the local hospitals. If patients do require in-hospital care, GAFC physicians admit patients to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
In 2022 GAFC partnered with Connecticut GI (powered by GI Alliance). The partnership enhanced both practices and has resulted in being recognized as one of the Top GI Practices in the Country!

El Dr. Castillo es una persona maravillosa como ser humano y como medico. Cada vez que voy a.una cita con el me voy muy complacida porque siempre se preocupa por lo que me este pasando. Soy su paciente desde el año 2007 y jamas lo he cambiado. Logré que mis dos hijas también se atendieran con el, ellas también se sienten bien con su atención. Dios bendiga a mi doctor.
Dr. Eddy A.Castillo an exceptional doctor, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. From the initial consultation, I felt comfortable and heard. Dr. Castillo took the time to listen to my concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. He are not only knowledgeable and thorough, but also incredibly compassionate and patient. The entire staff was also friendly and efficient, making my visits a positive experience. I feel lucky to have them as my doctor.

Dr. Castillo has been my Dr. for numerous years. He was also my Mother Dr. he is a very knowledgeable Dr. treats patients with kindness, he takes his time explaining everything to you. As busy as he is he never rushes and always makes sure to get to the bottom of your health problems. He cares for his Patients. I’m very blessed to have him as my GI Dr. His nurse is very helpful and always calls back with information. Thank You Dr. Castillo
Mi experiencia en este lugar fue super buena el Dr. Castillo es un exelente doctor es amable atento le da toda la atencion a nosotros los pacientes lo que Mas me gusto fue la paciencia que tiene para escuchar a nosotros los pacientes y nos da toda la informacion que nesecitamos bien explicada. Gracias al doctor Castillo a las recepcionista y a las enfermeras por la exelente atencion que me dieron y gracias por toda su ayuda son amables y buenas personas.

The staff and Dr. Castillo were both EXTREMELY nice and friendly , I also felt that Dr Castillo was VERY through and listened to everything I was saying no matter how much I talked in circles due to my ADHD.
That being said ... the wait time was excessive . I understand the doctor running late but I waited 90 minutes just to get into a room. As someone with ADHD that's not an easy thing to just sit and listen to everyone in the waiting room talk loudly on their phones.

My experience with Dr. Castillo has been very good. Very attentive and gives great advise. Bedside manner is very important and he’s super informative.

Dr. Castillo is an excellent doctor. He is able to discuss all the patient all the concerns during the medical visit and answer the questions asked to him.
Dr. Castillo was a great listener. Rosa, his scheduler, did an amazing job at getting me in for an appointment for my stat medical situation. The office was clean and orderly. The staff was pleasant.
