About Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County (GAFC)
Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County (GAFC) is the premier local GI brand caring for the Bridgeport, Fairfield, Trumbull and surrounding communities. Founded in 1970, GAFC has been a leader in the field of Gastroenterology bringing advanced GI care, research and procedures to patients throughout the region.
The GAFC physicians oversee a safe, comfortable and convenient Ambulatory Surgical Center adjacent to their Fairfield office. This allows patients easy access to GI procedures without the congestion of the local hospitals. If patients do require in-hospital care, GAFC physicians admit patients to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
In 2022 GAFC partnered with Connecticut GI (powered by GI Alliance). The partnership enhanced both practices and has resulted in being recognized as the 2024 Best GI Practice in the Country!
