Gastroenterologist

Felice Zwas, MD Retirement Announcement:
It is with both gratitude and a touch of bittersweet emotion that I am writing to let you know that I will be retiring from clinical practice as of March 31, 2026.
For the past 38 years, it has been an extraordinary privilege to care for patients in the Greenwich community and throughout Westchester and Fairfield County. Many of you entrusted me with your care when you were teenagers or young adults, and I have had the honor of continuing that care as your lives, families, and careers evolved. That continuity has been one of the greatest joys of my professional life.
Medicine has changed in many ways over the decades, but what has remained constant – and most meaningful to me – has been the time spent with patients: listening, learning about your lives, and understanding how illness and health fit into the broader context of who you are. Your openness and trust made me a better physician and, truly, a better person.
In addition to patient care, I have been fortunate to serve in leadership roles at Greenwich Hospital, including as its first female Chief of Staff, and to teach and mentor medical residents, with whom I was proud to publish several peer-reviewed articles. It has been a deeply fulfilling career, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to practice medicine in a community I care about so deeply.
As I prepare for this transition, what matters most to me is ensuring that you continue to receive excellent, compassionate care. The physicians in our Greenwich Care Center are outstanding clinicians, and I have complete confidence in their ability to care for you. My team and I have been working closely with many patients to ensure a thoughtful and seamless transition, and Connecticut GI will continue to
securely maintain your medical records in our electronic health record.
If you wish to continue your care within our practice or would like assistance transferring records to a physician of your choosing, please contact the Greenwich Care Center at 203-489-6900 and they will be
happy to help coordinate your care.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me over the years. While I am looking forward to this next chapter, I will miss many of the long-standing relationships that have made my practice so meaningful. It has been an honor to be part of your lives, and I wish you continued good health and happiness in the years ahead.
With warm regards,
Felice Zwas, MD
