Dr. Dettmer is a consummate professional with an equally professional staff. He has a compassionate bedside manner and a sweet sense of humor. His keen medical eye will likely have saved my wife's life! I cannot recommend him more highly. I also like that his procedures are done at The Tully Center rather than a remote private office.

one visit but his staff and Dr Dettmer were extremely professional had some questions about having my first colonoscopy . There was a small wait but he was very apologetic and answered any questioned I had, I wanted to see a few Doctors before deciding where to have it and after a lot of thought I think he and his staff has made me feel more comfortable and so will be reaching out to them today .
I had a procedure with Dr. Dettmer after being referred by my Primary Care physician. The search for doctors can be confusing and definitely an important decision and I'm most thankful for the recommendation/referral that I received. I will absolutely go back to Dr. Dettmer for the required, preventive screenings and would recommend anyone needing a Gastroenterologist to consider consulting with Dr. Dettmer. Both his staff in his office and those in the surgical center at the Tully Center were terrific and Dr. Dettmer has a great bedside manner as he's down to earth and explains everything very well. Dr Dettmer has been a pleasure to see over the last 6 years. He’s knowledgeable, skilled and has a great ‘bedside manner’....easy to talk to and thorough in his explanations. Dr Dettmer has performed two endoscopies and two colonoscopies on me, all very smooth and professional. I also found his staff to be efficient and pleasant to deal with. I’d highly recommend Dr Dettmer to anyone in Fairfield County.
